I Like to Innovate!
I sort of took a break from the designing part of the website, and focused more on the planning aspect. Reason being I have so much that I would like to include on my website, however I need to make sure I have the content organized into a relevant & understandable order.
I have been thinking about doing some video tutorials. BUT!!!!... On what?!!! That's the million dollar question I have posed to myself. There is so much I could do a videos on, but my deliema is which topic should I start with, and how much of a quality tutorial can create. I guess I'm just going to have to experiment with few things until I get something worth presenting. It'll come if I continue to work. I have faith :)
If anyone have some suggestions please feel free to drop me a suggestion.
Additionally, I have been learning a little PHP. I have a few scripts in mind that I would like to write, so I have been documenting what functions and features I would like to have the scripts perform. I have also started a few algorithms. They won't be anything major or fancy, just a few simple scripts/programs to do a few minor task within the website.
Also, that brings me to my next subject. Why am I doing all this?
People may come my site and wonder why I just won't use some services or programs already in existance to help expidite the site's creation; believe me, I have asked myself the same question. However, I do have a definate answer. I do it because I love it, I do it because I want to be programmer, I do it because I like to design, and most importantly... I do it becasue I love to innovate. The best way to learn something is by doing it first hand. If I were to use pre-existing software, I would lessen my chances to program. In turn lessen my chance to learn something new. That's not to say I will never use existing software, I just want to be able to create as much as I can. And that my friend is the innovative part of me.
<idea> I can offer my programs and scripts on the site.. :) </idea>

Some Thoughts & Updates
I know there is not one individual who has read any of my blogs as of 10/12/2009, however I will continue to work on my website and blog. Eventually people will come and YOU will be the first to read this and others. =) I going to let the site development and visitors dictate the direction it will take. I'm just putting whatever I deem interesting to me and others here (and along way have the site generate income). I going to share my knowledge with the world, but for now I have to start small. Targeting the Alabama State University community. Then I'm going to branch out. I have been working on the look & feel of the site so it will be easy on the eyes and easy to navigate. Had design originally that lasted about a week and half. It's changed now though. I'll be posting my first real video tutorial for computer disaster recovery. Hoping to turns out to be good, hoping my entire site turns out to very useful.

PHP programming is easy ... My First PHP Script!!!
Today I added a way for people to communicate with me through a contact form. I designed it, along with the entire site, with Adobe Dreamweaver. I used a PHP script to process the form (thanks to tutvid.com video). That is the first exposure I have had with PHP – it seems to be an easy language. I have also been doing a few minor tweaks to the website’s layout. Made the Gibby Development’s logo a bit smaller, which added to the overall appearance to the website.

Purpose of Gibby Developments
My initial plans for my Gibby Developments were to be strictly a site to advertise my products and the many services I supply: computer repair & troubleshooting, web development, graphics design, sell t-shirts, and so on and so forth. Ohhhhhhh!!! How plans can change! While educating myself on site development and preparing myself for the path of an entrepreneur, everything seemed to become a little more clearer to me – and at the same time turn out to be more hectic (save that topic for another post). I realized that there is so much more I want to share with the world, and I want to world to get to know me. I know there are thousands of people out there just like me - interested in a wide variety of things. I want to communicate with you; collaborate together, share idea, create something new, and even help other individuals.
I’m “So Random”, but yet… "So Static".
I’ll eventually get everything organized the way I want. But for now I am educating myself on site development (Props to TUTVID.com) and site promotions (Great Job Lisa 2createawebsite.com). (Those two sites have given me a lot). Most websites don’t normally publish the site until it is ready for viewing by the general public. But, I want to take a different approach, which is kind of amusing to me. I’m going to be developing the site while trying to promote it; in all of its bare naked state. I want to people to see the “Development” process of the entire site. What works and what gets the boot, give advice on materials, etc, etc. I’ll pulling some material from my Facebook and Myspace page to add some content, but I don’t think it’s much (be sure to check out the “Who Am I” section… once it’s complete LOL)
All in all, I’ll be spending a lot of time and resources on this site. But it’s something I must do. Because “This Site is Me, I am this Site”
