Well I just finished reading ViperChill's post about Wordpress SEO, and I must say I learned quite a bit. I implemented most of his recommendations for my two of my blogs (ASUVoice & GibbyDev Blog).

I have been thinking about what is best route for me to take with GibbyDev blog, since GibbyDevelopments is the overall name of my company which will be comprised of many entities and different topics. I know I want a blog related to tech issues, tips, and advice. And, after reading ViperChill's post I came to realization that I need to have a dedicated domain name for that blog. So, I have to think of another Domain to register, and transfer the current contents of GibbyDev blog to there.

Oh, and another issue I found myself having to deal with is the problem that I deleted my old post from my pervious blog. I cannot find them anywhere, besides the RSS feed that comes with Microsoft Windows 7. For some odd reason, which I have yet to figure out, the RSS reader still have the entire content of my previous blog. However, the bad part about it is that I cannot highlight any of text to copy it. DOH!!!! I have to fingure out where the RSS is getting this feed from so I can copy it. Ummm... just thought about this: maybe I have a backup copy of my blog database somewhere... maybe. I'll have to see if I can find that later if I can't copy the text from the RSS.

I recently purchased my name as a domain, AnthonyVGibby.com :) , and have been mulling what content to should be on there. I thought about using that domain on this Posterous site, but I scratched that decision real fast. Reason being, I plan to make money with my sites, and Posterous have huge limitations on what you can can and can't do. I decided that AnthonyVGibby.com will be about well... Me!!! =P Yes, I want to make money, but I ultimately want to help people in the process, so as result I will be posting a variety of content on that site once it's truly complete. Topics will be about my personal experiences and stories I have to tell, but I hope each and every piece of content, if not most of it, will give some sort of lesson/information to it's reader. Topics will be about stuff that interest me, and affects me like: computers (obviously), real estate, investing, entrepreneur, college life, Greek life, African American issues, relationships, business ideas, personal improvement, and my life. Etc, etc. 

Once I figured out what I want to do with AnthonyVGibby.com, I thought there would probably be no reason for me to have a Posterous anymore - NOT!!! Posterous will be a perfect compliment to AnthonyVGibby.com. Because, whereas AnthonyVGibby.com (man i feel like im using that domain name too many time) will be a more formal, professional type site, my Posterous site will be informal. You might see plenty of misspelled words & bad grammer (but ill get it corrected eventually), side notes, pictures of random things, and just plain ol randomness lol.

In addition, this site will also help me retrace my steps if find myself losing my way. That's really the entire purpose of the Blog Progression series, so I know what I'm trying to accomplish, and what I have learned, and implement that learning into my process.

Well, I guess this will be my installment of a series I would like to call my "Blog Progression". Ummm... where do I start? I know, let me take a break, because I really don't want to be writing this right now =P

But, before I do I need to see if I can find that essay I wrote in my notebook about how I got introduced to web blogging. Be back later after I find that essay, and I actually feel like writing.

I'm going to start letting my dreams be my roadmap to success. All throughout my life I have been scared to let my dreams/fantasies of success take over my mind. I would think about an idea that could make me rich and successful, then my mind goes into fantasy land. Dreaming about how I could persue this idea, how to make this idea bigger, etc, etc. Then all of a sudden I would stop myself from dreaming. Stop all the wonderful sights and sounds in my head. Stop all lavish scenery.

See I used to think that if I would continue to daydream I would somehow jinx myself of this future. Well you know what? I did jinx myself. I stopped myself from thinking (daydreaming) of a plan of action. I had these dreams for a purpose, and I stopped them dead in their tracks. That was a huge mistake of mine, because I stopped myself from developing a plan to implement them. So a few months ago I realized what I was doing to myself, and then allowed myself to dream. My dreams have lead to other dreams (ideas), and now I am finally formulating plans to achieve my dreams.

I was so scared to dream of my success, and couldn't understand why I believed I would jinx myself. But things have changed! I am a daydream, it's who I am and what I do. And finally realized my best ideas and works come after I dream. So, to anyone who reads this my advice to you is allow yourself to dream - dream often. And at the same time take mental notes of what you did in your dreams to get to that final scene.
